The Nike+* iPod** Sport Kit (not included with the DK+) includes a Nike+* chip that is placed inside a Nike+* shoe (or the DK+ SOLE), and a receiver that plugs into the iPod* Nano. All parts of the kit can be bought individually. The chip acts like a pedometer, tracking speed and distance during a run with statistics displayed on the iPod** in real time. The feedback from the Nike+* iPod** Sport Kit is useful for both tracking progress during training and sharing results with other runners through online communities.
